毎年春休みと夏休みの年２回母島を活動拠点とする「地球の歩き方の旅 小笠原自然環境保護活動」の若いメンバーが６日の入港で１７名来島しました。
私の立場は、現地添乗員と３日目の南崎トレッキングのガイドです。前線通過によって海の状況が悪く日程の変更があり残念ながらボランティア活動に同行できなかったのですが画像の通り今年の春も元気いっぱいの皆さんが精一杯の思いで母島での環境保護活動に携わってくれました。
母島で感じたことをいつまでも忘れないで下さい、そしていつかまたお会いできる日を楽しみにしています。
蛇足ですが、最後のさよならパーティーで隣に座った女子大生から「茂木さんなんだかゼミ旅行での打ち上げの先生みたい」だって・・・。確かに歳はそうだよな。
